AFTER 2 YEARS ON THE RUN, “KILLARBOI” FINALLY EXTRADITED TO NIGERIA

After an intense two-year international manhunt, Benjamin Nnayereugo—popularly known as Killarboi—has finally been extradited to Nigeria and handed over to the Lagos State Police Command.

Nnayereugo is the prime suspect in the brutal murder of his 21-year-old girlfriend, Augusta Oseodion, a brilliant first-class student of Lead City University, Ibadan. Augusta was tragically found dead on July 13, 2023, at Benjamin’s residence in Orural Estate, Ajah, Lagos.

Following the incident, he fled the country, sparking a cross-continental chase that took investigators through Sierra Leone, the Philippines, and Guinea Conakry—where he allegedly secured a fake passport and new identity. From there, he slipped into Qatar and lived quietly as a barber… until the law finally caught up with him.

At the official handover, INTERPOL’s Commissioner Bode Ojuni highlighted the power of global collaboration in tracking fugitives across borders. Among items recovered from the suspect were mobile phones, jewelry, and two notebooks police referred to as “crime diaries.”

According to the Lagos State Police Command, Nnayereugo will face multiple charges including murder, fraud, and theft. Investigations are still ongoing, and authorities promise to keep the public updated as the case progresses to court.

Justice, it seems, is finally catching up.
