The Nollywood tea just got hotter, and this time, it’s between two seasoned stars — Opeyemi Aiyeola and Eniola Badmus.
In a bold and heartfelt Instagram Live session, Opeyemi Aiyeola addressed the tension brewing between her and Eniola Badmus after a recent comment ignited serious backlash. For those just tuning in, Badmus had taken to Aiyeola’s post to comment, “Ope, where is your front hair?” — a remark that Aiyeola found insensitive and deeply inappropriate.
Now, Aiyeola is speaking up — and she’s not holding back.
“Eniola has never even seen me live, yet she’s gaslighting me with this so-called apology,” Aiyeola said. “It wasn’t sincere. You don’t get to hurt someone and then control how they react.”
She made it crystal clear: her live video wasn’t about clout, and it definitely wasn’t a response to Badmus’ now-deleted apology. According to Aiyeola, the apology felt more like emotional manipulation than accountability.
Aiyeola also addressed the nature of their relationship — or rather, the lack of it.
“We’ve known each other for 20 years, but we’ve never been friends like that,” she explained. “We’ve never gisted, never shared deep convos. It’s always been a distant ‘hello’ and that’s it. So where did the public ‘banter’ come from?”
She urged fans to stay neutral and avoid fanning the flames, emphasizing that she didn’t want the issue to spiral into unnecessary drama.
“I’m not angry because someone asked about my edges. It’s the how and the where. We’re public figures, yes — but let’s not forget we’re also humans with feelings.”
While Opeyemi Aiyeola may have drawn the line, it’s safe to say the internet won’t be forgetting this feud anytime soon. One thing is clear though — this veteran actress isn’t here for fake energy or backhanded apologies.
