Pastor Timothy Omotoso Acquitted After Years in Prison—Activist Who Exposed Him Assassinated”

Pastor Timothy Omotoso, a well-known televangelist in South Africa, has been at the center of a controversial legal battle for years. A few years ago, multiple women came forward with allegations that he had sexually assaulted them in his church. One of the victims claimed she had been abused by him since she was just 14 years old.

As the accusations gained traction, authorities arrested Pastor Omotoso at the airport in 2017 as he attempted to leave the country. Since then, he has been in prison awaiting trial.

However, in a shocking turn of events, the judge presiding over the case ruled that the pastor was not guilty, citing prosecutorial mishandling of the case as the reason for the acquittal.

One of the most vocal figures in this case was Pamela (Slide 2), an activist who played a key role in exposing Pastor Omotoso’s alleged crimes. She worked closely with the victims, supported them throughout the legal proceedings, and was instrumental in ensuring the pastor’s initial arrest.

But in a tragic and chilling development, Pamela was gunned down outside her home in her car on March 7, 2025—just weeks before the pastor’s acquittal. The attack, carried out by unknown assassins, has raised serious concerns about the safety of whistleblowers and activists fighting for justice.
