A Kano State High Court has sentenced Fadila Adamu to death by hanging for the murder of an eight-year-old girl, Aisha Sani, the daughter of her childhood friend.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred in 2019, when Fadila kidnapped young Aisha on her way home from Islamiyya school and later threw her into a well, where she tragically lost her life. After two weeks of intense searching, the child’s lifeless body was discovered at Gandu Albasa Quarters, Kano.
During the trial, the prosecution, led by Lamido Abba-Sorondinki, presented compelling evidence, proving beyond doubt that Fadila was responsible for the crime. Delivering judgment, Justice Yusuf Muhammad-Ubale ruled that the defendant was guilty of kidnapping and culpable homicide and subsequently sentenced her to death by hanging.
